AIC-SRS-ICAR-NDRI Foundation is established to support Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Dairying with a support from AIM, NITI Aayog & promoted by SRS of NDRI

Dairying has become an important source of income for millions of rural families and has assumed the vital role in providing employment and income generating opportunities particularly for women and marginal farmers. The productivity of cattle and buffaloes in India is low and needs urgent interventions to improve their performance. India is the world leader in milk production and the demand for milk and milk products is increasing day by day. To tap this surging demand most dairy players have entered the processed dairy products market with introduction of value-added products.

Therefore AIC-SRS-ICAR-NDRI FOUNDATION Bengaluru has been established to support Dairypreneurship that could effectively create a facility for budding entrepreneurs with a support from Atal Innovation Mission, NITI Aayog, New Delhi as Section 8 company promoted by SRS of ICAR-NDRI, Bengaluru.

To offer dairy business incubation for improvement and propagation of dairy animals, milk processing and value addition.

Mission

Catering to the research, teaching and extended needs of the dairy farmers and dairy industry while focus on three fundamental facets of Dairying, viz., breeding, feeding and management of dairy animals for better productivity; innovating suitable milk processing technologies and equipment; and providing information about existing market demands and practical management inputs for making dairying a self-sustaining, profitable business.
